The CASA Medical Examination is a health assessment required by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) to ensure pilots and air traffic controllers meet medical standards for safe aviation.
There are three certificate classes:
The process includes applying online, booking an exam with a CASA-approved medical examiner, and undergoing assessments such as health history review, physical examination, vision and hearing tests. Some applicants may require additional tests, such as ECGs, depending on the certificate class. Certificates must be renewed periodically, and any changes in health must be reported to CASA.
